These are the 10 rules/commandments that must be followed by everybody who enters the gym, no exceptions including the trainers. These rules are put in place for two reasons, the first reason is to create a clear guideline of what is expected of anyone who walks into the gym, the second reason is to protect the standard of the program.
Program Standards
Basketball is your escape from anything that is bothering you in the outside world. Come into the gym with positive energy and with the intention to work hard and get better.
If you are ever going to be late, please notify the trainer at least 30 minutes prior. If walking in late, jog over to the side, put your basketball gear on as soon as possible, don’t distract other’s training, and get in the workout.
If you don't know someone, introduce yourself to them. This is important because energy is contagious, so we want to ensure we are spreading positive energy from the very start of the workout all the way through to the end.
When the trainer is talking the basketballs are being held, no other voices are speaking and all eyes are on the trainer giving them your full undivided attention.
Some days you may compete against other players, most days you are competing against yourself. The true results won't show until you challenge yourself to push past your limits and be better than you were yesterday, but that won't happen unless you compete.
Leader's lead from the front, leaders lead by setting the right examples, and a true leader is able to make everyone else around them better.
Being able to listen and follow directions so the trainer only has to say something one time without repeating themselves
Having humility and respect for not only yourself but also the people/environment around you are qualities that every coach in the world wants their players to have.
Think about the things you did well, the things that you struggled with and what you could do on your own to help better your weaknesses.
At TrainWithRemy, we hold our athletes to the highest standards of discipline, respect, and professionalism—both on and off the court. Failure to follow the rules of the gym will result in clear consequences, which may include:
Our goal is to create an elite training environment where serious athletes can improve and thrive. If a player is unable to follow the gym’s expectations, they will forfeit their opportunity to train in our program.
